"Staying at Pushpa and Janak’s home was really a great family experience as they welcome you as if you were blood. It never felt like working since there is little work to do, and they never push you. You just get to experience a family life in Kathmandu with lots of cute dogs around that you will briefly take outside when needed, but most of the time I’d say that you just cuddle them. Then it was mostly about assisting Pushpa in the kitchen as she prepares delicious nepali food. There’s always a lot of it and you usually eat too much because it is very tasty. "I am extremely grateful that I got to meet Pushpa and Janack during my stay in Kathmandu. This is not work but to really experience Nepali life while having the amazing dogs around to cuddle/play. Tasks are very easy and involve walking the dogs in the morning and after lunch. Pushpa and Janack are very flexible and never push you to do anything but your own freewil. We have had many house parties together along with other volunteers and we had all great fun. As soon as you step into their home, they will instantly welcome you as part of the family and never one moment did it ever feel awkward. "I absolutely loved it here.I was originally only suppose to stay two weeks but ended up staying 4 as I loved it so much. Pushpa does an amazing job and always makes you feel like part of the family while her cooking is amazing while janak spent most of the time at the pet shop. The dogs are very well looked after And I was really sad to leave and plan to go back. The hosts help you with everything too like my phone cable broke so pushpa took me to a local phone shop to sort it out. I would recommend anyone." - C.M. (UK)

"I really enjoyed my time in Kathmandu. I stayed more than two weeks with Pushpa and Janak. They are really nice and take fully care of you. In the morning we walked their lovely dogs and in the afternoon I sometimes helped in their pet shop. The food was always delicious, diverse and more than enough :). It was really nice to walk around the area and to do some shopping with Pushpa in the mornings, or to have some drinks and a nice chat with Janak in the evenings. "We stayed with Pushpa for 2 weeks and we absolutely loved our stay here!
From the beginning we felt right at home. Pushpa cooks amazing meals and we were never left hungry. You only have to take the dogs on a walk in the morning and a quick afternoon walk sometimes too. It was a pleasure to walk all of the dogs, they are so happy to be around you. Janak is an amazing dog trainer and you can go with him to dog training too. We had a huge room with a balcony too so we were so relaxed in the house.Pushpa taught us alot about Nepal, cooking and much more.
