VOLUNTEER WITH US

Does the idea of experiencing local Nepali culture while getting to play and cuddle with dogs appeal to you? Come volunteer in a peaceful, central area of Kathmandu!

As a volunteer in our home, your days may include helping to walk, play with, and train our many pups. We currently have seven dogs in our home - Rambo (German Shepherd) and Abbie (Pug) who are the faces of the sanctuary, plus Lulu, Riley, Tili, Puppy, and Brownie, who we've rescued from the streets.  We also care for other pups in our home who come to receive training.  If you are interested in learning more about dog training, you may join my husband in visiting homes in the area where he trains local puppies.  You're also welcome to spend time in our pet shop which can be a great way to learn more about the local culture!  

We ask for about of about two hours of volunteer work per day, generally just helping to walk pups in the morning and evening.  We're flexible with schedule and want you to be able to explore and enjoy your time in Kathmandu.  In exchange for your help, we provide accommodation in a volunteer room, three meals a day, unlimited filtered water, and strong wifi.  We do request that volunteers contribute $6/day to help us cover the costs included in caring for our dogs' upkeep and medical care.

When you volunteer with us, we don't see you as workers - you are a part of our family.  We hope to introduce you to our culture, show you around local sights, and help you learning Nepali cooking and language if it's of interest.  You can feel safe and comfortable when staying with us.  Our home is your home.
